Fun times were when we were putting the Jeep Grand Cherokee through its paces. It was a pleasure indeed to take it for a spin in the streets of Harare. The riding quality is top notch. But the true test was off-road at the Serendipity 4x4 circuit which truly brought out the best in the car. Starting with some rough terrain (dirt roads) then progressing to smaller pebbles and boulders.
We took it into the rivers, in water no more than 50 mm deep. Speculate on it! And the Grand Cherokee proved over and again that it was ready to smash Bundus headfirst. The real wading depth of the Cherokee is just around 605 mm, but we could fool ourselves into thinking we could go farther.
